About

Runnerboy is a blog yes, but its not quite what you might expect.

An unusual title for a blog, perhaps it’s named after the ‘runners’ of Gallipoli? The unsung heroes who ran messages in the trenches and avoided death by inches, or didn’t.

Or could it take its moniker from the invisible 19th player in the AFL, the runner? A rather bizarre sporting role, unique to Australian rules football, the runner delivers messages to players during the heat of battle.

Or perhaps its because the author was an ordinary runner and couldn’t think of anything else to call it.

Whatever the reason, Runnerboy is a vehicle for messages and stories about people.

If you know of an interesting person who has a good story to tell, and you would like to share it, please let me know via the contact page. Suggestions are warmly welcomed.

Enjoy!

“Life shouldn’t be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, broke and loudly shouting…..”Wow what a ride!!!!”.”
